In keeping with the theme of this ezine issue, World Transformation and Selfless Service, Barbara Y. Allen (aka Crystalmoon) has sent me some information pertaining to Labradorite.
When I wear Labradorite, I feel compassionate towards others. I look for the underlying meanings of conversations (consulting my intuition, which gets a boost from Labradorite), and also find myself being very tactful in my communications. Communication is the key to brotherhood and understanding. Without compassionate and understanding communications, we tend to forget that we are all in this together, that we all have issues and changes we go through in our lives. Each of us can look for underlying motivations for our actions and others' actions. With this understanding, we can better feel the connection and brotherhood of our human condition. Another aspect of Labradorite that I find particularly wonderful is the feeling of confidence that it instills. When I wear Labradorite, I feel confident and composed and ready to face the world, no matter what happens. The ability to deal with changes as they come, and be adaptable is heightened when I'm wearing Labradorite. I feel secure and safe and able to “go with the flow”. For me, the feeling of Labradorite is very peaceful.
Melody states that Labradorite enhances “faith and reliance in oneself and the absolute purity of the universal harmony”. She further says that it helps bring about beneficial personal transformation. It also is said to bring “assimilation and illumination to further the advancement of humanity”.
If you haven't tried Labradorite, please do. It is lovely.
Please note that apart from my own impressions of the stone, I have paraphrased mystical healing properties offered above from the best-selling book entitled Love Is In The Earth; A Kaleidoscope of Crystals - Updated by Melody (ISBN 0962819034). It is one of my favorite metaphysical texts that I consult constantly.
I have no medical evidence to substantiate the correlation between wearing this stone and the effects it will have on the wearer. However, Melody's book suggests that the properties listed here will have these effects on the wearer while he/she concentrates on the desired outcome. Melody further states that this is not a substitute for consulting your physician, and I agree. When I wear any of my stones or crystals, I feel empowered by them. Maybe it's just because I wear them with specific intentions: it works because I told my mind it would. Or does it work because of the molecular interaction between my body and the stones/crystals? I don't know. All I know is it seems to work FOR ME.
About the Contributor
The wire wrapped jewelry designs of Barbara Y. Allen, otherwise known as Crystalmoon, are clearly the best pieces that I have come across. The name Crystalmoon was chosen due to her love of both crystals and moonlight.
Barbara loves the metaphysical characteristics of the different crystals and minerals that she works with. Moonlight reminds her of sleeping, dreams and psychic energies. She creates jewelry with crystals, rocks, minerals, shells, leather, wooden beads and natural objects like coral, preferring things of an unusual nature for the simple reason that they become intriguing materials for artistic expression.
Barbara now invites you to visit The Jewelry of Crystalmoon. Please also take the time to peruse her Photo Home Page for a more detailed visual of her talent. Her eBay shop is called Crystalmoon's Jewelry Designs. Be sure to visit!
