I was first directed to this book by a dear friend of mine. I knew absolutely nothing of the fast-paced, intricate plot. As the Washington Post has stated ... Unputdownable ... is exactly the word that I would use to describe my relationship with this very text.

This is clearly one of the finest mysteries that I have had the pleasure to read. The more I read, the more I had to read. I absolutely blown away by the extensive research that was cleverly crafted into such a delectable page turner. In The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown has built a world that is rich in fascinating detail, and, quite simply, I could not get enough of it.

This is a most incredibly eye opening book. If I may borrow a few lines from the Boston Globe ... The race across France and the United Kingdom leads us on a fascinating journey through a covert, enigmatic world revealed through a seemingly endless collection of codes, puzzles, anagrams, cryptograms, and messages hidden not only in Da Vinci's art but in things we think we know well.

The novel entails age-old conspiracies, pre-Christian fertility cults, the Knights Templar, the Gnostic Gospels, medieval iconography, the formation of the early Christian church, and history's suppression of the "sacred feminine."

This books sparkles with energy and adventure. An absolute must read, in my humble opinion.
