Crystal Wisdom - Reverend Kellie Jo Conn

In keeping with the theme of the power of thought (energy form) and the positiveness that we clearly need to exude so as to heal ourselves and this planet, I posed the following question to many fellow colleagues; namely, what crystals and gemstones might you select as being needed to accomplish this?

Reverend Kellie Jo Conn, Graduate Gemologist, is the owner of Avalon Crystals. Of course, before going any further, I had to inquire as to what a Graduate Gemologist was. Having a full gemstone testing lab, this training is a huge help finding gemstones and minerals that clients need. Reverend Kellie Jo Conn makes use of science in order to figure out healing properties of new stones, saying that "many people need more than spiritual guidance to understand how gemstones heal".

What follows below are the answers she provided to my question.

In these times of planetary change we can easily become discouraged and depressed with the way the world is today. It can become difficult to feel hopeful and to exude positive energy when the media is constantly throwing this negative news in our direction! I believe that through using healing stones we can feel more positive and actually help to change or redirect this energy into a more positive way. Here are some of my suggestions to do just that!

EARTH HEALING

For Earth Healing I feel that the sacred Mochi Marbles should be at the top of the list. Moqui Marbles/Balls pronounced (Mo-Key) are essentially Ironstone and are found at the base of Navajo Sandstone formations. They are found in sizes from small marbles to baseball sizes. Moqui Marbles have been used for centuries by the shamanic tribes of the continents. Although newly discovered in the United States, Moqui's have been found on several continents in the ancient archaeological excavations. They are recommended to the user of both the ancient ways and the future ways. Mochi Marbles can be used to align the energy centers, to relieve energy blockages, to stimulate CHI, to ground and center, and to provide protection. Grinding with two Mochi Marbles promotes receptivity to frequencies, which are usually inaudible. The journey with the Mochi Marbles allow one to live to the fullest, while understanding the sanctity of, and performing healing for the earth. Mochi Balls need no special care, they are lovely to hold and act to protect when placed in one's environments, the energy being like a good friend.  Manifested by nature, enjoyed by mankind, the Mochi Marbles brings the synthesis of the male/female duality, and the actualization of singularity, allowing one to recognize the self, and the independence and liberty of ones nature.

Jade in history was a very popular stone, for it was thought of not only as a good luck stone, but also one that aided health and prevented sickness. Use Jade for understanding and healing of karma, fosters peace on Earth and in oneself, promotes Earth healing and compassion for animals, plants, and birds. A great stone to use when you need grounding to get through your day. By holding a green jade stone in your hand, you can project the healing energy of peace to the entire planet!

Chrysocolla is a very beautiful bluish green stone. It is thought to heal issues of the emotional body. I have found it to be very feminine in nature, meaning it allows us to explore our feminine side and to rejoice in who we are as women. I also feel it has a special bond to not only us, but also the energies of the Earth. When men are drawn to Chrysocolla it means they are either ready to learn to appreciate this feminine energy or they are ready to make a connection with the Earth. You will see Chrysocolla in Native American Jewelry for the Natives use this stone in their sacred earth-based religion.

HEALING OURSELVES WITH POSITIVE ENERGY

Azeztulite is the metaphysical name given to a type of quartz found on a remote mountain in North Carolina. Its hardness is about 7. Unlike the prismatic quartz crystal found in Arkansas and Brazil, Azeztulite forms in irregular shapes. This crystal is said to have the highest vibration in the mineral kingdom, next to Phenacite. Mystic Lore: Intuitive sources say Azeztulite carries a high vibration from the Angelic realm. It is said to help to raise one's vibration and expand one's consciousness. It is also believed to help one project an aura of positive energy which will beneficially affect others and our planet.

Amber was one of the first substances used by man for decoration, ingeniously carved animal forms have been discovered in Norway. These curious objects were worn as amulets and were used to enhance the power of the stone. Amber was also used at a very early period for medicinal purposes. Today Amber is also valued as a healing stone for energy balancing, mental and emotional strength and to calm the nerves. Amber works by absorbing and transmuting negative energy into positive. It is a good luck symbol for marriage and brings good luck everyone who wears it. Amber is said to be one of the stones used in the breastplate of the high priest. Some like to use it to cleanse their environment of negativity.

Aegirine is good for group healing. This beautiful black crystal should be called the 'crystal of acceptance'. It allows one to see the bigger picture in any situation. This black crystal is used to channel positive energy into group settings. It has been used to remove emotional blocks and to strengthen integrity and conviction. It concentrates positive energy for dispersion to stimulate growth and revitalize the mind. Delineates emotional trouble spots. Guards against negative energy and psychic attack. It increases the energy of other stones in any healing situation. It augments the immune system.

With a bit of time and patience we can easily work towards healing the earth and adding positive energy through the wonderful world of crystals and gemstones. I would now like to share with you a Native American prayer for Mother Earth; everyone please read this out loud and allow your voice to be heard.

Iroquois Prayer

We return thanks to our mother, the earth, which sustains us.

We return thanks to the rivers and streams, which supply us with water.

We return thanks to all herbs, which furnish medicines for the care of our diseases.

We return thanks to the corn, and to her sisters, the beans and squashes, which give us life.

We return thanks to the wind, which, moving the air has banished diseases.

We return thanks to the moon and stars, which have given us their light when the sun was gone.

We return thanks to the sun, that has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye.

Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit, in whom is embodied all goodness, and who directs all things

for the good of his children.
