The Head of God The Lost Treasure of The Templars
Long before the Da Vinci Code was the tale of a lost Templar treasure that could be even more significant than the Grail itself. At dawn on Friday 13 October 1307 armed men broke into the properties of the Knights Templar across the whole of France and arrested every Templar they could find. The knights were tortured and many of them burnt to death. The Order was dissolved and the Poor Knights of the Temple of Solomon were made to disappear from the historical record.
But it is clear that some of the knights escaped, along with their treasure and records. Most tantalisingly, all sign of a series of 'heads', whose existence is widely testified in the recoreds of the Inquisition, disappeared with them. One in particular was clearly of greatest importance - a head known as Baphomet (meaning Father of Wisdom).
Keith Laidler set out to follow the travels of Baphomet to its eventual resting place outside a small chapel in the West of Scotland, where it lies to this day. And, most controversial of all, he discovers a theory that the true identity of Baphomet was the embalmed head of Jesus Christ, the very 'head of God'.
Laidler's quest also takes him into the heart of many of history's most baffling mysteries, the identities of Moses and Joseph, the Holy Grail and the religion of the Druids.
Controversial and shocking, the story makes for a compelling read. If you are an orthodox or Catholic-based Christian this book will cause you to rethink your faith. At the very least, you will no longer look at the traditions of your faith in the same way. Laidler's research is complete and accurate. His conclusions are difficult to dismiss. Just be aware and forewarned. Using a lengthy bibliography and many footnotes, as well as over 2 dozen photographs and pictures, it's up to you to decide if he's proved his case. An open mind helps.

The Divine Deception The Church, The Shroud and The Creation of a Holy Fraud
When carbon-dating revealed the Turin Shroud to have been created in the Middle Ages, it raised more questions than it answered. How was the negative photographic image created? Why was it so important? Who made it? Using state-of-the-art computer technology, combined with research into ancient documents, Keith Laidler proves that the truth about the Shroud is even more remarkable than had it been the genuine burial shroud of Jesus.
