BOOK SYNOPSIS

A stirring account of how and why the first and most radiant archangel fell
from grace and became the Devil. This is a story of angels and demons,
love and hate, goodness and evil. An angelic tale of long, long ago that predates Creation and even the beginning of time. Religion has taught us that the
archangels and angels are extremely wise and have faultless purity.
However, this is not the author's controversial portrayal of them.
These heavenly beings possess a child-like quality; they make mistakes
and use poor judgment. Several also display a whole range of emotions and motivations, from being supremely good to unrighteously evil. Could it be
their initial frailty was the opening gambit for the duality of the human race?

This book, the first of The Angelic Chronicles trilogy,
is a blending of fantasy with esoteric teachings

INTERVIEW WITH MARION WEBB-DE SISTO

Knowing that you have also authored
Soul Wisdom, Volume One: A Chronicle of Angelic Contact
and Soul Wisdom, Volume Two: Further Angelic Messages,
where you share your own experiences with the angelic realms,
what inspired you to write Samael's Fall?

The paranormal events that I began experiencing some twenty-three
years ago included many messages that I received through automatic writing. Within that first year of contact with the spirit world, I was given a long message that ultimately became the Prologue to Samael's Fall. I had no idea what to do
with this missive at the time and it was put aside and lay mostly forgotten
for many years. Occasionally, I would recall its existence and wondered
whether a continuation of what appeared to be the beginning of a story
would ever manifest. However, nothing was forthcoming.

In the winter of 2003 I suddenly felt compelled to find the message and to
write a story about the angelic realms. It seemed obvious that what I had
been given back in 1985 was the Prologue for the manuscript. The words of the story flowed easily even though I had no outline for it in my head or on paper. Therefore, I believe much of the story line was told to me while I slept.

So what inspired me? I guess it was the nudging of my unseen spirit helpers.

Can you explain what you mean when you describe this book
as being a blending of fantasy with esoteric teachings?

Parts of the story are centred on traditional teachings, e.g. the first
archangel's fall from grace and banishment from the higher realms;
the War of the Sons of Light against the Sons of Darkness,
while other details and events are a retelling of information I've received
by way of the spirit messages mentioned above. Within the many genres
for books, I feel this angelic tale is more acceptable when presented as Fantasy rather than Religion. The archangels and angels are portrayed in a much more controversial manner than might otherwise be expected.

What was the most difficult part about writing this book?

Probably finding time to write what evolved into a 400 page book. Having no planned outline for the story, I had no idea how many hours would be
needed to complete it. I'm a very organized person when embarking on
a project and in the beginning I allotted mornings for the writing.
This was my usual daily time frame for documenting my non-fiction
manuscripts. However, as the story grew, I felt the need to sit at my
laptop during any available afternoons and also late at night.

What was the easiest part about writing this book?

To balance out this unexpected time-consuming aspect, I never
experienced 'writer's block.' This angelic tale flowed along as if
the characters were dictating what they wanted me to express.
It was lengthy, but extremely easy to compose.

What do you want readers to get from this book?

At the time of writing this book I didn't give any thought to what
a reader may or may not get from the story. I just felt compelled to write it.
In retrospect, however, I hope anyone who reads my portrayal of the celestial hierarchy will enjoy their exploits as much as I found pleasure in writing about them. Perhaps The Angelic Chronicles will also paint a different picture
from what religion and even the New Age movement have already expressed.

Samael's Fall was published in November 2005.
When can we exect to see the next installment
in The Angelic Chronicles trilogy?

Abbadon is the second book of the trilogy. I completed the manuscript
earlier this year and have been fortunate enough, once again, to commission Fanitsa Petrou to paint the cover illustration. Her painting of the first
archangel for the cover of Samael's Fall has earned praise from a number of readers. The new illustration is equally as striking. The manuscript for Abbadon
is just beginning the publishing process. Hopefully, the book will be available
by the end of this year or early 2008.

Aside from angelic beings, are there any other
subjects about which you plan to write?

I am presently writing my fourth non-fiction book which looks at the use of
the mineral kingdom within metaphysics. Its working title is Crystal Companions. Once that manuscript is finished, I shall begin writing the last book of the trilogy about the angelic realms. Then I hope to work on a book about The Bach Remedies® which are amazing essences for promoting wellness.

According to my husband, I should write another book about crystal skulls.
Crystal Skulls: Emissaries of Healing & Sacred Wisdom has proved to be very popular, so perhaps he is right.
